My First Seminar on ”BIG DATA” at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA).

In my college life I attended 6-7 seminars but it was more interesting because in all the other seminars I participated from my college. This time, I participated from my company (Alrightsolutions).  All the team members of Alright Solutions went for this seminar. In this We faced some challenges.  First of all we didn’t know the exact address of AMA so I Found that using Google Map. We were following Google Map to reach AMA, but we faced some challenges again. Because our driver was going on the wrong side, traffic police warned and fined penalty. Our driver was angry and he drove the car very fast .Somehow we reached AMA on time. Our seminar started at 6:00PM.

In this seminar there were three speakers. They shared their knowledge about Big-Data.

·         Mr. Dhruv: talked about what is big data?

He explained us with Facebook example. Example: In Facebook, people post different messages. If we want some help to decide what should we do, which area we should our business, what people prefer, then we set the criteria and get huge amount of data from facebook. But Data has no symmetry so we extract some business value using some database queries and filters.
Big-Data is a term that describes large volume of data both structured and unstructured that inundates a business on a day to day basic. But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. Big data can be analyzed for insights that lead to better decision and strategic business moves.

·         Mr. Pranav: talked about Why Big Data important?

The importance of big data doesn’t revolve around how much data you have, but what do you do with it. You can take data from any source and analyze it to find business value.
·         Mr. Yash: talked about some challenges that he faced working with Big Data projects. He gave some real life examples and shared his experience. He also gave some information about what is IOT (Internet Of Things). He explained what is IOT and Use of IOT.

So, It was very interesting seminar of my life. I got more knowledge and enjoyed it with My Alright Solutions team members. We returned at 9:30 PM and reached Gandhinagar at 11:00PM.
